Project Updates
The consulting firm of Agnew::Beck has
completed the feasibility study for the new education, training
and business development center.
In August 2009, the feasibility study was submitted to the
Nez Perce Tribe Executive Committee for review and approval.
At the same time it was also sent for review to the
Economic Development Administration who commissioned the study.
Once approval is received from the NPTEC and
the EDA, a request for qualifications will be issued to interested
architectural firms for preliminary design and cost estimating
services. Once
completed, a preliminary design will help to further define the
look and feel of the new building.
The cost estimates will be instrumental in establishing
partnerships and stakeholders for the project.
Community Meeting
Presentations by the Planning Work Group are
planned for Orofino and Kamiah in early fall.
The times and dates for the informational meetings at the
Te Wee Puu and Wa-A’Yas Community Centers will be announced by
early September.
